Santiago Silva, new goalkeeper for Independiente

The 25-year-old Uruguayan goalkeeper arrives to defend the goal for América de Cali in the face of the sporting challenges of 2025. The goalkeeper comes from Boston River where he made his professional debut in 2019.

In the most recent season he played 26 games, starting in all of them with an average of 90 minutes per game for a total of 2,340 minutes played.

He was the goalkeeper with the most passes per 90 minutes in the 2024 Uruguayan League, averaging 27.42 passes per game. He finished that season with eight clean sheets.
