The Communications and Press Department of América de Cali facilitates professional media access to our sporting activities. Our main objective is to be the bridge between information about our professional teams and the media at the local, regional, and national levels.

With the aim of ensuring the proper development of journalistic activity, respect, and safeguarding order and values ​​within the framework of coverage of the different competitions, the following rules that must be met to request these accreditations are reiterated.

Benefits of accreditation:

  • Coverage of matches and training sessions.

  • Access to mixed zone, press conferences and photographers' areas.

  • Access to a WhatsApp group and database to receive first-hand information.

  • Audiovisual material for journalistic practice.

  • Assistance to cover matches in which America plays as the away team.

  • Interviews with players, members of the coaching staff and spokespeople appointed by the Institution.

ACCREDITATION PROCESS:


The accreditation process to cover América de Cali as press must be done exclusively through the Dimayor platform.

Journalists must:

  1. - Registration: Access the platform and create your profile with your media outlet's information: Dimayor Accreditations | Latest News

  2. - Accreditation application: Complete the application for América de Cali by attaching the required documentation.

  3. - Evaluation and approval: America will review your application according to the established requirements and you will receive information through the platform and email.

  4. - Match-by-match accreditation: journalists and photographers who have successfully obtained accreditation must register for each match in the accreditation module.

IMPORTANT:

  • If you do not obtain accreditation for each match, you will not be allowed to enter the sports venue to cover the event as accredited press.

  • The accreditation application for each match expires 48 hours before the start of the match.

  • Accreditation periods 2026:

  • First semester:

  • - From January 1st to 20th

  • -From January 31st to February 15th

  • -From March 10th to 25th

  • Second semester:

  • - From June 25th to July 7th

  • - From July 25th to August 8th

  • - From September 1st to 8th

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY FOR ACCREDITATION:


Websites and portals:

-Registration with the Chamber of Commerce

- Minimum of two years of demonstrable seniority

- Consistent and verifiable sports coverage

- Content that justifies its presence in the stadium

Social media (Twitter, Instagram, TikTok)

- Minimum 5,000 followers

- Consistent sports content

- Verifiable professional profile

YouTube

- Minimum 5,000 subscribers

- At least two years of demonstrable seniority

- Evidence of equipment coverage

Note: Influencers or content creators without a media structure do not qualify for accreditation.

Radio and television

- Compliance with legal requirements for its operation.

- Registration with the Chamber of Commerce

- Minimum one year of operation

Freelance Journalists

América de Cali accredits freelance journalists and photographers who work for national or international news networks and/or who are registered with the Chamber of Commerce.

Partisan press

- Minimum one year covering the team

- Record of consistent and verifiable coverage

EVALUATION CRITERIA

- Evaluation of the Communications and Press Department of América de Cali

- DIMAYOR regulations

- Track record and presence of the media outlet covering the team

- Professionalism and compliance with previous standards

América de Cali reserves the right to approve or deny accreditations based on professional criteria.

Stadium roofing regulations

- Dress professionally.

- Entry is prohibited with clothing alluding to any other football team.

- Identification of the medium at all times.

- Entry to the stadium for accredited journalists and photographers is permitted until the start time of the match.

-They must remain in the designated space during the game.

Regulation

- Do not broadcast live during the match.

- Do not record what happens on the field during the game from the press box or field.

- Remain in the area designated for the mixed zone

Videos from the mixed zone can be published after the match. Live streaming is not permitted unless you are a rights holder.

Photographers:

- All photographers must be properly identified with vests and have access to the benches provided by Dimayor.

- No photographer is allowed to stand, lie down or sit on the floor.

- Media Officers will indicate location five minutes before the start of team warm-ups.

- Once the draw has taken place, the photographers must immediately go to their respective photographers' areas.

- Under no circumstances are photographers allowed to pass in front of the benches; they must move around the back of them.

- The photographers should move once the players have left the field and through the eastern sector.

- No recordings or self-recordings of any kind are allowed before, during and after the game.

- The press conference will take place 20 minutes after the end of the match. Once the press conference has started, no one else will be allowed into the room.

Photographers will not be allowed to record videos with their cameras. Anyone caught doing so will have their accreditation revoked or be removed from the stadium.

- Under no circumstances will photographers be allowed access to the mixed zone to take reactions or photographs of the players.

- Accredited press personnel must behave in an exemplary manner, without effusive displays during their stay and time on the playing field.

PRE-CONFERENCES IN CASCAJAL


The Communications and Press Department of América de Cali will make the summonses for days of recording supporting images and press conferences through the official Whatsapp group.

Cascajal Regulations:

-Media appearances at the headquarters are spaces for the development of our professional activity, please avoid activities outside of this such as requesting photos or personal greetings from the players or approaching them without prior authorization from the Communications and Press Department.

-For each press conference, the journalist and/or cameraman must attend the headquarters with a valid media identification document and ARL (Occupational Risk Administrator) insurance.

-Journalists must remain in the designated press conference area. Movement through other areas of the venue reserved for administrative and/or sports staff is not permitted.

- The Cascajal Headquarters is Everyone's House, therefore we ask that you leave the spaces as you would like to find them

-All interventions during the press conference must be made within a framework of respect.

- Live broadcasts outside the designated press conference area must have prior authorization.

- Recording or live streaming is not permitted in other areas of the venue not designated for press.

- Cell phones and mobile devices must remain silent during the press conference.

Compliance with the rules and policies set out in this press manual is essential to maintaining a professional and respectful relationship between the football team and the media. In case of violation of these rules, your accreditation may be revoked, or where appropriate, your access to the venue may be restricted.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

How long does it take for my application to be approved?

Once the accreditation process begins, which will also be communicated through official channels, the evaluation process will take between 5 and 10 business days.

Why was my application rejected?

Reasons may include: incomplete or outdated documentation, failure to meet minimum seniority, lack of coverage, or limited capacity.

Can I resubmit my application after it was rejected?

You can submit additional information that supports your accreditation request.

Is the accreditation valid for the entire season?

Accreditation is annual. During the two semesters of the Colombian football season, there are three accreditation windows for those who did not complete the process initially.

What do I do if I don't register for a match?

If you do not complete the respective process for each match, you will not be able to access and provide coverage.

Can I transfer my accreditation to another journalist?

No. Ingress accreditations and tickets are personal and non-transferable.
