Six youth academy players were part of the Scarlet Preseason 2026

América de Cali kicked off its 2026 Scarlet Preseason last Monday, January 5 , when the squad met at the Cascajal Sports Complex to begin preparations for the year's sporting challenges.

Within this process, six players from our Youth Categories were called up to work with the professional team under the technical direction of coach David González (left to right):

Jhordy Alexander Camacho Anchico: Born on June 21, 2006, in Cali. He plays as a winger, known for his skill and strength in one-on-one situations. He has been part of the youth academy since 2023 and his main goal is to establish himself in professional football, inspired primarily by his grandmother.

Brayan Stiven Hurtado Cadena: Born on December 23, 2007, in Tuluá. He is a central defender with character, intelligent marking, and strong in the air. He has been part of the youth academy since 2024 and dreams of making the leap to European football.

Jhon Edward Largacha Peña: Born on April 1, 2007, in Cali, he is a technically gifted, fast, and strong left-back. With the support of his parents and his neighborhood coach, he joined our youth academy seven months ago, and his goal is to debut and remain in professional soccer.

Juan David Aponzá González: He is originally from Guachené, Cauca, and was born on May 24, 2008. He plays as a midfielder, standing out for his intelligence and good technique. He has been with the club for three years and dreams of winning a championship with América's professional team.

Duván Starlin Mina Aponzá: Born on October 10, 2008, in Cali. He is a central defender, known for his clear passing and strength in one-on-one situations. He joined the club in 2024 and aspires to make his professional debut, motivated by his parents and sister.

Johan Fernando Molina Balanta: Born on April 17, 2008, in Cali. He describes himself as a technically gifted, dynamic, and cheerful midfielder. Three years ago, he joined our youth academy and, with his mother as his main motivation, dreams of becoming a champion with América.

As part of their preseason preparations, the Scarlet team played a match against Once Caldas in the Colombian Serie A. Now, América is preparing to officially begin its 2026 campaign on Saturday, January 17 , when they face Internacional de Bogotá in Matchday 1 of the Liga BetPlay DIMAYOR .
