America Women strengthens for the 2026 season

América de Cali Women's team continues to strengthen its squad in preparation for the sporting challenges of 2026. As part of the team's preparation, four new players have joined the Scarlet project , adding to the work being done under the technical direction of coach Andrés Usme.

Tatiana Castañeda Acevedo: Born on December 24, 1990, in Envigado, she plays as a central defender and is known for being a reliable and effective player with excellent game awareness and a solid defensive line. She was a champion of the Colombian Women's League in 2022 and played in the Copa Libertadores Femenina with América, achieving a runner-up finish and a third-place finish, playing a key role in the defense during that campaign.

Génesis Flórez Hernández: Born on August 22, 1998, in Puerto Ordaz, Bolívar (Venezuela). She plays as a forward and is known for her tenacious character and dedication in attack. She joins América after playing for Addifem in Venezuela and has experience in Colombian football with clubs such as La Equidad, Llaneros, and Santa Fe. One of her greatest sporting aspirations is to win the Copa Libertadores Femenina.

Obeida Mendoza Zarza: Born on September 7, 1999, in Tolú, Sucre. She plays as a center forward and describes herself as a strong, powerful footballer with good aerial ability and goal-scoring skills. She has played for Bucaramanga, Independiente Medellín, and Real Santander, and comes from Junior FC. She dreams of becoming a champion with América, motivated by the unconditional support of her mother.

Mayra Alejandra Neira Hincapié: Born on February 6, 2005, in Medellín, Antioquia. She plays as a midfielder and is known for her strength in one-on-one situations and her composure on the ball. After playing for two teams in the Antioquia department, she joins América de Cali from Atlético Nacional. Sharing the field with her role model, Catalina Usme , she dreams of winning a championship title with América de Cali.

America Women will continue their preparations for the official competitions of the year, reaffirming their commitment to the growth of women's football and the consolidation of a competitive team that will uphold the name of the institution.
