Thanks to an alliance between the Colombian Red Cross and the Colombian Major Football Division, Dimayor, and the support of the professional football teams, the support of América de Cali was arranged to develop a great blood donation day on September 26, 27 and 28, calling on all the fans of the scarlet team.
“ This initiative is part of a joint inter-institutional commitment to supply blood components to various clinics and hospitals throughout the country and the valley region. Your participation is essential to help us meet the needs of those who depend on these resources for their medical care ,” said Jefferson León, Promotion Manager for the Valle Red Cross.
The blood drive will take place on Thursday, September 26th and Friday, September 27th, from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, and on Saturday, September 28th, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, at the Red Cross Valle blood donation center, located at Cra. 38 bis 5-91, San Fernando. There will also be surprises and special recognition for donors who are fans of the red team.
The minimum requirements are being between 18 and 65 years old, weighing 50 kilos or more, presenting identification, and being in good health. With a donation that takes less than 30 minutes, each person has the opportunity to help save up to three lives.
On Saturday, September 28, the date of the Liga match where América de Cali hosts Fortaleza at the Pascual Guerrero Olympic Stadium, the Red Cross will carry out a series of activities to raise awareness and mobilize the entire population to save lives through blood donation by displaying banners related to the topic.
