Preview: América visits Boyacá Chicó in matchday 13 of the Liga

This Saturday, October 5th, América will play Boyacá Chicó in Matchday 13 of the 2024-II Betplay League. Both teams come into this match after qualifying for the quarterfinals of the Betplay Cup, where América will face their local rivals and Boyacá Chicó will play Independiente Medellín.

Regarding this league match against Boyacá Chicó , our head coach Jorge Da Silva and player Jader Quiñones gave their impressions of the game and their analysis of the opponent:

“To maintain the intensity for the full 90 minutes, we’ll have to play smart, go for the points like we always do, pace ourselves, manage our intensity, and try not to wear ourselves out unnecessarily. I think we played a smart game in Bogotá. We have to try to maintain possession of the ball,” said midfielder Jader Quiñones.

Our technical director also analyzed this match: “We haven’t set the goal of going undefeated; we’re focused on the fact that every match is the most important, every match is the best, the most difficult, that’s it. "It's been working for us."

“Opponents who are desperate for points are usually the most difficult; they're in an uncomfortable position, and we have to take advantage of that. As a big team, we can't afford to play it safe,” he pointed out.

The match will begin at 4:10 pm at La Independencia Stadium.
