Preview: América hosts DIM on matchday 3 of the Liga MX quadrangulars

This Thursday, América will play the third matchday of the Liga quadrangulars, hosting Independiente Medellín at the Pascual Guerrero stadium.

In the lead-up to the match, head coach David González and goalkeeper Jorge Soto spoke to the media to discuss this important game in the team's pursuit of its objectives.

“This is our opportunity to get back into contention for the playoffs, and that’s what we’ll try to do from the start. This team has shown resilience, mental strength; it has proven that it can win five games in a row. Now it shouldn’t be any different: this is a strong team,” González stated.

For his part, goalkeeper Jorge Soto analyzed the opponent and the keys to the match at the Sanfernandino stadium:
“They’re a team with a very clear idea; they haven’t achieved the results they wanted in these playoffs, and that might work against them. We’ll try to do our job with the players we have available. We’ve been strong at home, and we hope it will be the same this time.”
