This Friday, October 11, América will play another of its postponed matches. The Red Devils host Millonarios in a match corresponding to Matchday 5 of the 2024-II Betplay League.
The red team is in the lead with 26 points, while the capital team is in fifth place with 21 points.
Regarding this league match against Millonarios , our head coach Jorge Da Silva and player Franco Leys gave their impressions of the game and their analysis of the opponent:
“Millonarios is a great rival, they have a very clear idea of how they want to play, and they're the team that has been working with the same coach the longest. While they've had difficulties with injuries, like we all have, they have a good squad with top-quality players. We respect our opponents, but what worries me most is América, their concentration. We'll try to impose our style of play, our football, to get the result. They're a team with very skillful attacking players; you can't give them much space, too much ground. We'll take precautions, but we won't change our approach to matches,” said the Uruguayan coach .
For his part, the Argentine midfielder also gave an analysis of his current situation with the Scarlet team and about the ambassador team.
“I feel great, confident. Playing every three days is good for me physically. I enjoy every moment, whether I play one minute or the full 90. We know Millonarios has a long process underway, they have key players, we can't let our guard down for a second,” Leys said.
The match will take place at 7:30 pm this Friday at the Pascual Guerrero Olympic Stadium.
