Preview: América hosts Junior in Matchday 15 of the League

América de Cali hosts Junior in Matchday 15 of the 2024-I Liga Betplay. The match will be played at the Pascual Guerrero Stadium at 8:20 pm.

The Junior team comes into this match after a narrow victory against La Equidad at home and a 3-1 win against Botafogo in the Copa Libertadores, a match played at the Nilton Santos Olympic Stadium. The Red team also comes into this match after an important 4-1 away victory against Independiente Medellín.

v “We’ve been improving in every aspect, we’ve found our scoring touch, we just have to stay focused and always give our best, like we have throughout the semester, and now the results are going our way. We set our sights on reaching the top eight, and we have the players and the team to get there. This weekend’s match will be crucial for our aspirations,” said the defender.

For his part, the Venezuelan strategist analyzed this duel.

"The players have shown in the game that they are confident. The team has demonstrated depth in their work, tactical understanding, and they need to have synergy among themselves, otherwise it won't be easy. A comeback isn't possible without conviction. The squad has become somewhat secure, but we mustn't become complacent. There are no easy games. We're in good shape, but we have to maintain our high standards and determination to achieve our goal of qualifying."
