In a press conference at our Cascajal Sports Complex, our technical director Jorge Da Silva and players Adrián Ramos and Duván Vergara referred to the commitments they will face in Villavicencio where América will play as the home team due to the unavailability of the Pascual Guerrero stadium.
The Scarlet team played their most recent match against Atlético Bucaramanga on August 18th and have not played since. Their next match will be on September 7th at La Puerta del Llano.
“I think this break has both positive and negative aspects. We were able to use the time to work on strengthening our footballing skills and address any minor injuries. We've worked as hard as possible to maintain our competitive rhythm, we've had a good start, and we want to continue in this vein,” said our captain.
“The coach’s message has been very clear: give your best in every training session. The team has been mindful of this in order to arrive at each game in the best possible shape and be able to compete,” the striker pointed out.
On how to face the series of matches: “Unfortunately we got this schedule, one of the things that can be highlighted in our favor is the time to work to strengthen ourselves and arrive in Villavicencio to add three points.”
These are the matches that will be played: Against Jaguares on September 7, against Deportes Tolima on the 11th and against Deportivo Pereira on the 15th.
