Jhon Eduard Murillo Romaña was born on November 21, 1995, in El Nula, Apure, Venezuela. He has participated in three Copa América tournaments with the Venezuelan National Team and was a champion with Zamora in the Venezuelan First Division in 2012-13 and 2013-14.
After the South American U-20 Championship, he was bought by Benfica, where he was loaned to Tondela, a first division team in Portugal. After two seasons with the Portuguese team, in the 2017-18 season he went on loan to Kasimpasa in Turkey for one season before returning to the Portuguese team for four seasons.
On January 3, 2022, his transfer to San Luis of the Mexican First Division was made official, signing a contract until 2025.
