This Sunday, América de Cali held their first training session in Brazilian territory, preparing for the match against Corinthians for the fourth round of the CONMEBOL Sudamericana group stage.
The players who did not travel to Barranquilla trained at Palmeiras' training facility, under the direction of assistant coach Jorge Rodrigo Da Silva and physical trainer Manuel Cabrera. Those participating in this first session included Jorge Soto, Jean Pestaña, Esneyder Mena, Yerson Candelo, Daniel Bocanegra, Rafael Carrascal, Sebastián Navarro, Juan Fernando Quintero, Cristian Barrios, and Rodrigo Holgado.
The rest of the squad, along with the coaching staff led by strategist Jorge Da Silva, arrived in São Paulo at night after the match against Junior de Barranquilla, to join the training sessions.
The team will train again this Monday on Brazilian soil, fine-tuning details for the match against Corinthians, scheduled for Tuesday, May 6 at 9:30 pm (local time), 7:30 pm in Colombia.
