Club América Women will play their home matches at the Francisco Rivera Escobar Stadium in Palmira, the Villa de las Palmas, starting with their match against Atlético Nacional for Matchday 14 of the Liga Femenina. This will be the home venue for our Escarlatas until the start of the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.
Since May 21st, work has been underway to treat the pitch at Pascual Guerrero Stadium in preparation for the installation of the hybrid turf. The San Fernando stadium will host the most matches, 18 in total, including two semifinals.
For this reason, while the Pascual pitch is undergoing its respective adaptation and treatment to become a hybrid surface, our professional women's team will play their home games at the Rivera Escobar Stadium, an arrangement made possible thanks to the support of the Palmira mayor's office, IMDER, and other entities that facilitated this sports venue for the continuation of our competition.
Hybrid turf is created by adding artificial turf fibers or synthetic mesh to natural grass. It is especially useful for sports fields hosting high-level competitions, as it provides stability to the ground and reduces the number of athlete injuries, while also offering an attractive appearance.
The FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup will be held from August 31 to September 22, 2024 in Bogotá, Medellín and Santiago de Cali
