Next Thursday, June 27th at 7:00 pm, América will play a friendly match against Club Deportivo El Nacional of Ecuador as part of their preseason training, which began on May 15th. This match will be played at the Estadio Olímpico Atahualpa in Quito, Pichincha province, a stadium inaugurated in 1951.
El Nacional is the only Ecuadorian team to have won two three-peats, which is why it is known as "El Bi-Tri", an achievement obtained only with Ecuadorian players.

Scarlet Preseason
From June 6th to June 13th, the Scarlet team is in the township of Santa Elena, Valle del Cauca, where they are training intensively, with double training sessions that seek to enhance the physical condition of the players, in preparation for the start of a new season.
Manuel Cabrera, the professional team's physical trainer, explained the choice of this location to continue the Reds' training: “The facilities in Cascajal are very good, but we needed to work more closely together, to get to know the squad better on a daily basis, and to increase the workload. For this, rest and nutrition are fundamental, which is why we came to Santa Elena for preseason training.”
When asked about the focus of activities for this fourth week, Cabrera stated, “The focus these days will be primarily on physical training. After we return from Santa Elena, the idea is to play, get more field experience, and focus on tactics and the friendly matches we will play.”
The athletes who are currently training in the municipality of El Cerrito are: Jorge Soto, Juan Pablo Múnera, David Quintero, Daniel Bocanegra, Jeisson Palacios, Andrés Mosquera, Edwin Velasco, Marcos Mina, Esneyder Mena, Nilson Castrillón, Yerson Candelo, Luis Paz, Franco Leys, Harold Rivera, Óscar Hernández, Alexis Zapata, Josen Escobar, Jader Quiñones, Michael Barrios, Cristian Barrios, Felipe Gómez, Ever Valencia, Rodrigo Rivas and Rodrigo Holgado.
It's worth noting that striker Adrián Ramos is not on this list of players, as he continues his recovery in Cali. Goalkeeper Joel Graterol is also absent, having joined the Venezuelan national team for a training camp in the United States in preparation for the 2024 Copa América.
