The new millennium brought a golden age for America de Cali, which won three consecutive titles under the technical direction of Jaime de La Pava, in the years 2000, 2001 and 2002.
In 2000, América reached its tenth star, making history by becoming the first team from the region to win the championship under the technical direction of a coach from Valle del Cauca: Jaime de La Pava.
The 2001 tournament marked the end of the long championship format in Colombian football. América became champions for the eleventh time after defeating Deportivo Independiente Medellín with a resounding 3-0 aggregate score. In that final, "Guigo" Mafla was the star: he scored a spectacular free-kick goal and assisted Julián Vásquez on the second goal.
In 2002, with the implementation of the short tournaments, América shone once again, adding their twelfth star at the Atanasio Girardot Stadium, defeating Atlético Nacional. Thus, América became the only Colombian team to achieve a five-time championship and a three-time championship . The Red team making history once more.
As a tribute to this unforgettable sporting achievement, Le Coq Sportif designed a commemorative jersey inspired by the original design. The garment combines classic style with cutting-edge textile technology. The retro crest returns to the chest in 3D ADK material, giving it an imposing look—a technique also used for the Le Coq Sportif logos and the authenticity seal located at the bottom. The sleeves feature elasticated strips with the repeated logo, evoking the design of jerseys from the 1990s and early 2000s. The body retains the iconic scarlet red, while the upper back displays the three stars that were added to the Red Devils' glorious record, a symbol of an unforgettable generation.
A jersey that the Red team will wear in the sporting challenges of 2025, recalling the history of struggle and passion on which the Scarlet legacy continues to be built.
