America learned its rivals in the group stage of the Conmebol Sudamericana

This Monday, March 17, the draw for the group stage of the Conmebol Sudamericana 2025 was held, which our team accessed after eliminating Junior de Barranquilla on penalties.

Following the draw, América de Cali was placed in Group C of the CONMEBOL Sudamericana, where they will face Corinthians, Racing de Montevideo, and Huracán. Our team will begin the group stage away from home and conclude it at home.

Our players Éder Álvarez Balanta and Jorge Soto spoke about the rivals in the Conmebol.

“It’s a pretty competitive group, and we were eager to get back to international competition. Corinthians and Huracán are teams we’ve seen throughout history. Corinthians is one of the biggest teams in Brazil, Huracán has been doing well in Argentina in recent years, and Racing is a young team that has also been doing well in recent years. We’ll have to be at our best to advance to the next round. This competition is played differently,” said the midfielder.

“We’re excited, expectations are very high, and we’ll have some very tough opponents. In this phase, the details will make the difference; these are matches where you can’t afford to give away any kind of advantage. We’ll push ourselves to maintain maximum concentration,” the goalkeeper stated.

Our team will start the group stage against Racing de Montevideo as the away team.
