Dr. Miguel Alexander Niño , a sports physician and surgeon, has joined América de Cali as the team doctor for the men's professional team, committed to the well-being and medical care of each of our players.
Dr. Miguel Alexander Niño Rey is a surgeon with the Colombian Football Federation, boasting extensive experience at sports institutions such as Santa Fe, Deportivo Cali, América de Cali, and Cúcuta Deportivo, working with both youth and professional teams. At the Federation, he worked with the men's and women's national teams, both senior and youth, during important qualifying rounds and international competitions.
He is a graduate of the Pontifical Javeriana University, with a specialization in Sports Medicine from El Bosque University. For more than three decades, he has built a distinguished career in the field of high-performance sports, combining his clinical practice with extensive experience in university teaching and institutional management.
His training also includes international certifications in kinanthropometry from the International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthropometry (ISAK), where he has reached the level of instructor.
He has also been a university professor for over 25 years, teaching at institutions such as El Bosque University, Pontifical Javeriana University, Santo Tomás University, and the National School of Sport, among others. He also served as Associate Dean of the Faculty of Health and Sports Sciences at Sergio Arboleda University.
She has led institutional processes from the IDRD, the Ministry of Sport and the Marly Clinic.
