This Saturday, February 28th, América visits Alianza for Matchday 9 of the 2026-I BetPlay League. This match will be played at the Armando Maestre Pavajeau Stadium in Valledupar at 4:10 pm.
Our technical director David González and Rafael Carrascal spoke to the media ahead of this match:
“This match does not affect the Copa Sudamericana match because we will finally have five days between matches, which is even more than the time between league matches,” said the manager.
“We look at all our rivals the same way. We are going to Valledupar to play our game, which is what we always do, with our characteristics. We are going for the three points, respecting a rival that is at the bottom of the table. We always go to any stadium for the three points,” said captain Rafael Carrascal.
America is fourth in the standings with 13 points while Alianza occupies the last place.
David González's team will travel to the world capital of vallenato in search of their fifth victory this semester.
