This March 17th, América visits Fortaleza at the Nemesio Camacho El Campín stadium to play the match corresponding to the 12th round of the Betplay League 2024-I.
The Scarlet team comes into this match after defeating Alianza FC 2-0 at home. Meanwhile, the capital city team lost 2-0 to Independiente Santa Fe.
Players Rodrigo Holgado and Joel Graterol spoke to the media prior to this match.
"I felt some discomfort before the last match. Luckily, I felt fine during the game, and I've been able to train normally this week. We know that Fortaleza has good players who play good football. This match will be very important for us, for what's to come," the striker said.
"We're focused on this game being crucial, and it will be very important to maintain order in our lines. We must be effective both defensively and offensively and take advantage of the good condition of the pitch to feel like we're playing at home. It's important not to get desperate," the Venezuelan goalkeeper explained.
