América comes into this match after a narrow defeat away to Millonarios. Meanwhile, the Verdolaga team secured a 1-0 victory against Real Santander.
In a press conference, our technical director John Tierradentro and player Joemar Guarecuco spoke about this match:
“The team is calm and prepared for this competition. This match against Atlético Nacional will give us an important clue as to where we stand. We've watched several of Atlético Nacional's matches; they have good players, including Manuela, a very effective player. We want to be more clinical in this game,” said our coach, Tierradentro.
Our Guarecuco forward was emphatic and stated: “This is a competitive league, we are going to work to counteract its qualities.”
The referee for the match will be Luisa Fernanda Vélez from Cundinamarca. The match between the Red Devils and the Green Devils will kick off at 2:00 pm.
