This Thursday, November 7th, América de Cali visits Deportivo Pasto at the Departamental La Libertad stadium where the Reds and the volcanic team will play the 17th matchday of the Betplay League 2024-II.
With an alternate squad, Polilla Da Silva 's team will seek to add points on visiting ground to continue leading the standings.
Eight players who came through our youth academy are included in the squad: David Quintero, Brayan Medina, Yojan Garcés, Josen Escobar, Juan Sánchez, Felipe Riascos, Sebastián Quiñones, and Jhon Tilman. The last four have yet to make their first-division debuts.
Regarding the upcoming match against Nariño, our coach spoke about the team's current situation: “There's a need for the entire group to return to the level we had for much of the championship, looking ahead to what's to come. We'll try to manage the workload very well in the matches, aiming to reach the Cup final.”
Regarding the volcanic team, he said: “This is a very tough opponent, they are fighting for qualification, and they are strong playing at home. We come with the intention of bringing back a positive result.”
The match will begin at 6:45 pm. The main referee will be José Ortiz.
