America de Cali women's team began their preseason on January 15, 2026, when the squad met at the Cascajal Sports Complex to begin preparations for the challenges of the year.
As part of this process, eleven players from our Youth Categories are participating in the Scarlet preseason to work alongside the professional team, in an experience that strengthens their sporting development and reaffirms the institutional commitment to the growth of women's football from the grassroots level.
The athletes who make up the scarlet preseason team are (from left to right):
Isabella Jiménez Nieto: Born on February 23, 2009, in Bogotá. She is a goalkeeper and stands out for her excellent reflexes and aerial prowess. She has been part of our youth academy for a year and a half. She dreams of playing in a World Cup and finds her greatest motivation in her family and in perseverance to achieve her goals.
Ivanna Valeria Parra Perdomo: Born on June 28, 2008, in Bogotá. She plays as a midfielder and is known for her excellent passing ability. She has been part of our youth academy for two years. Since childhood, she has dreamed of making her professional debut and playing abroad, always inspired by the support of her family.
Sherilam Arias Hernández: Born on September 22, 2008, in Cali. She plays as a full-back and winger, standing out for her speed and aggressive style of play. She joined our youth academy a year ago and dreams of making her debut for América, motivated by her family.
María Camila Hoyos Becerra: Born on June 27, 2008, in Cali, Colombia. She is a central defender known for her dedication, strength, and determination in every challenge. She has been part of our youth academy for a year. Inspired by her parents and grandmother, she dreams of becoming a professional soccer player.
Paula Andrea Acevedo Pérez: Born on January 30, 2008, in Canalete, Córdoba. She is a midfielder and is known for her vision and ball distribution skills. She has been part of our youth academy for nine months. She dreams of playing professional soccer, motivated every day by her father.
Nicole Juliana Mora Martínez: Born on January 25, 2008, in Ibagué, she is a goalkeeper known for her leadership, personality, and confidence in goal. Eight months ago, she joined our youth academy and dreams of making her professional debut, motivated by her family.
Tania Isabela Asprilla Loaiza: Born on August 13, 2007, in Cerrito, Valle. She plays as a winger or full-back, standing out for her speed, strength, and tactical intelligence. She has been part of our youth academy for a year. She dreams of debuting for América and playing in Brazil, motivated by her mother and her cousin, who inspires her from heaven.
Valeria Saavedra Balanta: Born on October 18, 2006, in Buga, Valle. She plays in midfield and is known for her powerful long-range shots. She has been part of our youth academy for two years. She dreams of making her professional debut, motivated by her family.
Alejandra Castro Lora: Born on August 11, 2007, in Cali. She plays as a full-back and is known for her intelligent decision-making and good ball distribution. She has been in our youth academy for four years and dreams of achieving her personal and professional goals, always motivated by her family.
Eilin Nicole Yesquen Campos: Born on July 24, 2008, in Buenaventura, Valle. She is a winger and is known for her dribbling and speed. She has been part of our youth academy for four months. Her brother is her main inspiration for achieving her dream of playing professional soccer.
Faisuly González Castañeda: Born on December 6, 2007, in Vista Hermosa, Meta. She is a goalkeeper and has been part of our youth academy for a year. She is known for her strong personality and confidence between the posts. She dreams of playing abroad, encouraged every day by the support of her family.
During this preparation stage, the players shared training sessions with the professional squad under the direction of Professor Andrés Usme, integrating into the group dynamics and gaining experience in the high-competition environment.
With this type of initiative, América de Cali reaffirms its commitment to the development and promotion of female talent, strengthening the connection between the Youth Academy and the professional team.
