Joider Micolta, the winger from Nariño, returns to América de Cali for the sporting challenges of 2025.
Micolta came up through our youth system. In 2022, he joined the first team, making 20 appearances. He made his debut under manager Juan Carlos Osorio on January 27, 2022, in a 1-1 draw against Deportivo Pereira.
In 2023, he was loaned to Cúcuta Deportivo, where he was called up a couple of times for training camps with the Colombian U-23 National Team. With the red-and-black team, he played 28 league matches and eight Copa Colombia matches, scoring six goals. He scored against Leones, Orsomarso, Barranquilla, Llaneros, Deportes Quindío, and Medellín.
In 2024, he joined Atlético Bucaramanga on loan, where he played 35 matches and scored 4 goals (against Millonarios, Fortaleza, Envigado, and La Equidad). Micolta returns home for the competitions we will be playing in this year, 2025.
