América de Cali debuted with a 3-1 victory against Racing of Uruguay at the Centenario Stadium in Montevideo. Rodrigo Holgado, Duván Vergara, and Luis Ramos were responsible for scoring in El Rojo's opening match of the CONMEBOL Sudamericana group stage.
In the second match of this stage, the Red team led by Polilla Da Silva hosts Corinthians on Tuesday, April 8th at Pascual Guerrero at 7:30 pm (Colombian time).
